The use of shared active mobility depends on several factors:
- Cycling infrastructure (cycle tracks, 30 km/h zones, bicycle racks, signage, etc.) available in cities.
- The pricing (subsidised annual subscription, hourly rate, incentive policy, etc.).
- The availability of the shared mobility fleet (number of vehicles, condition of vehicles, etc.).
- Information reliability (number of available bicycles, number of available docks, etc.). A user needs to be sure that he or she can easily find a functional bike when he or she needs it and can easily drop it off.

- Models the demand for shared bikes (standard and/or electric) and docks.
- Predicts 15 minutes to 12 hours in advance the probability of finding an available bike/dock.

UTE Pedalem integrates Qucit Bike User into Smou application in Barcelona
Since October 2022, UTE Pedalem, the operator of Barcelona's Bicing system, has integrated the Qucit Bike User API with B:SM's multimodal application, Smou. The objective of this integration is to allow users of the system to plan their trips by providing reliable information on the availability of bikes in the next few hours. A real improvement in the user experience!
